Qld: Palm Island Mayor "disgusted" over DPP's review stance

Palm Island Mayor DELENA FOSTER says she's disgusted that Queensland's DPP won't seek
an external review of her decision not to charge a policeman over the death of MULRUNJI
DOOMADGEE.

She's also calling for the sacking of the DPP .. LEANNE CLARE.

Last week Ms CLARE announced Senior Sergeant CHRIS HURLEY wouldn't be charged over
MULRUNJI's death .. even though the deputy state coroner found he caused it.

Attorney-General KERRY SHINE wrote to Ms CLARE declaring a review or second opinion
on her decision would be strongly supported by Premier PETER BEATTIE.

Ms CLARE says she's acutely aware of the controversy surrounding her decision .. but
insists the evidence doesn't support a prosecution.
