Ath: Greek hurdler tests positive

The reigning Olympic champion in the women's 400m hurdles, FANI HALKIA of Greece, has
tested positive for a banned sustance and won't be able to defend her title in Beijing.

HALKIA says she volunteered for tests at a recent training camp in Japan and was shocked
to learn she had tested positive.

She's the 15th Greek athlete to return a test positive for METHYLTRIENOLONE.

They include sprinter TASSOS GOUSIS, who was sent home a few days before the Olympics.
