NSW: New imager expands the night sky view

SYDNEY, Jan 10 AAP - Astronomers at a major observatory in western New South Wales
can now see thousands more stars than ever before when they point their telescopes to
the skies.

Thanks to a new $1.3-million wide field imager unveiled yesterday, astronomers at the
Anglo-Australian Observatory (AAL) near Coonabarabran can look at huge expanses of night
sky through a single telescope.
